Brief Overview of Academy

To inspire participants to grow through strategic relationships formed as a result of attending and graduating from the Speakers Academy
To provide delegates who are serious about professional speaking with the skills and strategies for success as proven by those who have succeeded
To thoroughly address the eight core competencies of professional speaking

Synopsis of the Speakers Academy:
The general concept of the Australian Professional Speakers Academy is to provide a structured learning program centred around the eight core competencies initially created by Jim Cathcart CSP CPAE and Co Patron of the Academy with Lisa McInnes-Smith CSP CPAE, during his term as President of National Speakers Association in the late 1980’s and that have been adapted to the needs of the Australasian speaking industry.
The program will provide participants with a strategic pathway that can advance their professional speaking given individual efforts and commitment over time.
Program Design and Structure:

Four individual one day workshops
Two competencies are covered each workshop with extra time devoted to the competencies of topic development and sales and marketing
Personal growth action plans for each competency
NSAA Online support during and after the program
Real world application between workshops

Participants Comprehensive Workbook
CD Rom with 24 presenters (3 per competency)
Highly skilled facilitators and Emcee’s per competency
Graduation Certificate

Summary:
The Australian Professional Speakers Academy is one of several deliberate and planned national strategies of the NSAA Board of Directors to help build NSAA as an organisation of stature.
The success of academy graduates will impact much of our industry and will take us a step closer to the centre of excellence we desire that will cater for all level of experience.
The Australian Professional Speakers Academy is a registered business name in all states in which NSAA operates and has a trademark pending.
